Q&A
A: Honestly, late spring and early fall are the best times! The weather is still mild, and the crowds are way less crazy. Summer can get really packed, especially at the summit. If you go in September, you'll probably catch some beautiful fall colors too! Just keep in mind that the weather can change quickly in the mountains.
A: There's no strict age limit, but it's best for kids who can handle the height at Pikes Peak (it's 14,115 feet!). Generally, 8 and up do well. Make sure they stay hydrated and dress in layers since the weather changes up there. It’s a super fun trip for families!
A: Definitely dress in layers! It can be warm in Denver, but at the summit, it can get cold and windy. I recommend wearing a light jacket, a hat, and sturdy shoes for the hike. Also, don’t forget sunglasses—glare from the snow can be intense! You’ll be glad you packed a little extra.

Considering the Private Pikes Peak Tour as a gift! Thoughts?
I'm looking at this tour for my parents' anniversary. They've always wanted to see Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak. The $0 price is tempting, but is it worth it? What’s the experience like, and how’s the guide? Any recommendations?
Just finished the Pikes Peak tour—what an experience!
I just got back from the Private Pikes Peak tour and wow, it was amazing! The Garden of the Gods is breathtaking, and the drive up to Pikes Peak was thrilling. Our guide shared so many cool facts! Just make sure to grab lunch in Manitou Springs; there are some cute cafes there. Highly recommend it!
