Q&A

Q: What should I wear for the foraging hike? Is it muddy?

A: Definitely wear comfortable hiking boots since the trails can get a bit muddy, especially near the stream. Layers are key—mornings in Boulder can be chilly but warm up quickly! Also, don’t forget a hat and sunscreen since you'll be outdoors for a while. It's a good idea to bring a light jacket just in case.

Q: How long does the foraging experience usually last?

A: The experience typically lasts around 3 hours, but it can vary depending on the group’s pace and how many plants you want to explore. They really take their time to explain things thoroughly, so be prepared for an enjoyable, laid-back adventure!

Q: Are kids allowed on this foraging experience? What ages are best?

A: Yes! Kids are welcome, and it’s a great way to get them interested in nature. I’d say ages 8 and up could really enjoy it, but it depends on the child. Just make sure they're up for a bit of hiking. The guides are super friendly and good with kids!

Just did the Rocky Mountain Foraging! What a blast!

I just wrapped up the private foraging experience in Boulder, and wow, it was amazing! The guide was super knowledgeable about all the plants and fungi. We hiked through a beautiful meadow and even by a stream, which was so refreshing! They provided these cool foraging knives and bags, and the snacks were perfect for our hike. I went with a couple of friends, and we’re already planning our next visit! Highly recommend this as a gift for nature lovers!

Thinking about gifting the foraging experience - any thoughts?

My partner loves the outdoors, and I found this foraging experience in Boulder. It’s a little different than the traditional gifts, so I think it would be special. But I’m wondering if it really lives up to the hype? Anyone tried it? What’s the vibe like?
