Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for the salsa class? Can kids join?

A: There's no strict age limit, but kids need to be at least 12 years old to join. They should also be able to follow along with the steps. It's a fun activity for families, just make sure they’re comfortable with dancing. I’ve seen younger teens enjoy it a lot!

Q: What should I wear for the class? Any tips?

A: Wear something comfortable that allows you to move! Light clothing is best since it can get warm. For shoes, avoid flip-flops and opt for something with a bit of grip but also smooth enough to slide on the floor. I usually wear dance sneakers or even just regular sneakers that have a flexible sole.

Q: What happens if it rains? Is the class indoors?

A: Yes, the class is held indoors at Salsa Central, so no worries about the weather! It’s nice and cool inside, perfect for dancing. If there are ever any changes, they’ll let you know via email, but I haven’t seen cancellations for rain.

Thinking of gifting a salsa class in South Beach! Need opinions.

I’m considering getting a private salsa class for my sister’s birthday. She loves dancing, but she's never tried salsa or bachata before. The class is at Salsa Central in South Beach and looks fun! But I’m kinda worried if she’ll feel overwhelmed since she's a beginner. Anyone done this before? How was it?

Just had my first salsa class and WOW!

I did a private salsa class at Salsa Central last week and it was amazing! The instructor was really patient and fun. I went solo but met some great people. Definitely worth the price—I think it was totally free for my first lesson! I’m already planning to go back. Who else has taken this class? Any tips for the next one?
