Q&A

Q: What's the best time of year to go on this food tour in San Diego?

A: I went in July and it was perfect weather! San Diego's usually pretty nice year-round, but I’d suggest spring or early fall for the best temps and fewer tourists. Definitely avoid the rainy season if you can. Plus, you don’t want to be stuck in the rain while trying to enjoy tacos!

Q: Are kids allowed on the food tour? What age is it suitable for?

A: Yes! Kids can definitely join in on the fun. I've taken my 10-year-old and he loved the tacos and desserts. It's suitable for all ages but make sure they’re okay with walking a bit since the tour does involve some strolling around Gaslamp. The guide was super friendly to my kid too!

Q: What should we wear for this food tour? Is it casual?

A: Super casual! Just wear comfortable shoes since you’ll do some walking. I wore jeans and a nice top, and it felt perfect. If you’re going in summer, a light shirt is a good call. Just keep an eye on the weather, and don’t forget sunscreen if it’s sunny!

Just did the San Diego food tour and wow!

I recently went on the Private San Diego Food Tour and it was amazing! Our guide, David, took us to some incredible spots in Gaslamp. The fish tacos were out of this world, and that secret dish? Mind-blowing! It’s a perfect gift for food lovers. We even got to learn about the area’s history between bites. Totally worth it!

Thinking of gifting the San Diego food tour - any tips?

I want to surprise my partner with this food tour. I’ve heard good things about the tacos and burgers, but what about the overall experience? Is it fun or too touristy? Any advice would be appreciated!
