Q&A

Q: What should we wear for the Segway tour? Is there a dress code?

A: You’ll want to wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes since you'll be on the Segway for a couple of hours. Dress in layers as it can be breezy along the waterfront! Don’t forget sunscreen if it’s sunny! They provide helmets, so just focus on being comfy.

Q: Are there any age limits for the Segway tour?

A: Yes, riders have to be at least 12 years old to participate. Kids under 18 need to be accompanied by an adult. Just make sure they can handle a Segway; it’s pretty intuitive but can be a lot of fun if they’re confident!

Q: What if the weather is bad on the day of the tour? Can we reschedule?

A: If it’s raining or there are high winds, they’ll likely cancel and offer to reschedule you for another day. Just keep an eye on the forecast and call ahead if you’re unsure. They’re usually pretty flexible about rescheduling as long as you give them a heads up!

Thinking about gifting the San Diego Segway Tour for my friend's birthday!

I just came across the Private San Diego Segway Fanatic Tour and it seems awesome! Has anyone done this? I love that you cover 12.5 miles and check out places like Balboa Park and the Gaslamp Quarter. I think it’d be a super fun experience for my friend who’s into outdoor activities. Just wondering how it is for beginners, or if it's better for someone with more Segway experience?
