Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on this tour? My kids are 5 and 8.

A: There’s no strict age limit for the tour! As long as they’re 3 years and older, they can join. Just let the provider know in advance if you need any child or booster seats for your 5 and 8-year-olds. It’s a great way for kids to learn about history while having fun!

Q: What if the weather's bad on the day of our tour? Can we reschedule?

A: Yes, you can reschedule in case of bad weather! Just reach out to the provider, and they’ll help you find another date. However, keep in mind that the Alcatraz ferry runs rain or shine, so dress accordingly. If they need to change plans for safety, they’ll let you know in advance.

Q: How much walking is involved? My parents are older.

A: The city tour is pretty flexible, but expect some walking, especially at Alcatraz. Once you're on the island, you can explore at your own pace, which is great! Just make sure your parents wear comfortable shoes and take breaks if needed. The audio tour does a good job of keeping things interesting!

Thinking of gifting the SF City Tour + Alcatraz experience!

Hey everyone! I'm considering this private city tour and Alcatraz combo for my parents’ anniversary. They love history and sightseeing. The fact that it includes the audio tour at Alcatraz is a plus! Just a bit worried about how busy it gets and if they’ll be tired with all the walking. Has anyone done this recently? Any tips?

Just booked the Private SF Tour + Alcatraz combo!

I’m so excited! Just booked this experience for my friend’s birthday. Can’t wait to see the Golden Gate Bridge and then head to Alcatraz! Hope the weather cooperates. Did anyone encounter any issues with the ferry?
