Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit for the Scottsdale Day Hiking Tour, but it's best suited for kids who can handle moderate hiking. If your kids are used to walking or hiking, they should be fine. Just make sure they're wearing good shoes and bring plenty of water. DukOUT Adventures is pretty accommodating, so I’d reach out if you have specific concerns!
A: Dress in layers! Mornings can be cool, but it heats up quickly in the desert. Good hiking shoes are a must, and don’t forget a hat and sunscreen since there's not much shade. I wore a light long-sleeve shirt and was super comfy. They provide water, so just bring a small day pack for personal items.
A: If the weather isn’t ideal, DukOUT Adventures is really flexible. They’ll usually reach out a day or two ahead if they think it might be too bad to hike. You can reschedule for another day without any hassle. Just keep an eye on the forecast, and you should be good!

Just did the Private Scottsdale Day Hiking Tour—what an experience!
I went on this hike last weekend in Scottsdale, and wow, it was stunning! The Gateway Loop Trail was the perfect mix of challenging but not overwhelming, and the views of the desert and city were breathtaking. We saw so many cool lizards and birds too! Definitely recommend bringing your camera. It’s a great outing for beginners like my friend who had never hiked before. Totally worth every penny, and the snacks they provided were a nice touch!
Considering this hike as a gift—any insights?
I’m thinking of getting the Private Scottsdale Day Hiking Tour for my dad’s birthday. He loves nature but isn’t super experienced. How’s the difficulty level? And is it really scenic? I want to make sure he’ll enjoy it!
