Private Soul of NOLA 3-Hour Citywide Tour

Our most popular 3 hour driving tour is an overview of New Orleans, traveling in the comfort of our luxurious Honda Odyssey minivan. We'll start in the French Quarter, where the city’s colorful history began. We’ll continue to the Marigny and the Bywater, two charming downriver neighborhoods, and get a sense of their changing history through the centuries and in the 14 years since Hurricane Katrina. We’ll proceed up mansion-lined Esplanade Avenue towards Bayou St. John and to City Park, one of our nation’s oldest urban parks and home to the world’s largest stand of mature live oak trees. We will continue upriver along iconic St. Charles Avenue through the University area into the fabled Garden District. Approaching Canal Street, we’ll pass through the Warehouse Arts District, by the World War II Museum and the Central Business District. A condensed presentation, this tour is great for hot summer months, (we’re in air conditioning the whole time!) or for visitors short on time.

Q: Is there a minimum age requirement for kids to join this tour?

A: There’s no strict age limit for the tour, but I’d say it’s best suited for kids ages 5 and up. The tour is pretty laid-back and in the AC, so they should be comfortable. Just keep in mind that younger kids might get bored of the history talk unless they're really into NOLA! Bring some snacks just in case.

Q: How well does the tour accommodate for rescheduling?

A: The Soul of NOLA team is really flexible! If you need to reschedule, just reach out to them at least 48 hours in advance, and they’ll work with you to find another time. It’s best to confirm since these tours can book up quickly, especially during peak seasons.

Q: What should I wear for the tour? Is it a casual vibe?

A: Totally casual! Think comfy clothes and shoes since you'll be getting in and out of the van. It can get pretty hot, so I'd suggest breathable fabrics. Also, wearing sunscreen is a good idea if you plan on stepping out at any point!
