Q&A

Q: Is there a weight limit for the paddleboards during the lesson?

A: There isn't a strict weight limit, but the boards can generally accommodate up to 250-300 lbs comfortably. If you're over that, I’d recommend checking with the instructors beforehand to see if they have larger boards. They’re super accommodating and want everyone to have a great time!

Q: What should I wear for the stand up paddle lesson?

A: Wear something comfortable and quick-drying! Swimsuits are perfect, but if you're worried about sunburn, consider a rash guard or other light clothing. Water shoes can help if you’re not a fan of walking barefoot on the board. Just remember, it can get a bit chilly as the sun sets, so maybe bring a light jacket!

Q: What happens if the weather is bad on the day of our scheduled lesson?

A: If the weather looks unsafe, they’ll usually contact you a day in advance to reschedule. They’re really committed to safety, so if it’s too windy or rainy, they'll make sure you're not out there risking it. You can reschedule without an issue, but I’d recommend keeping an eye on the forecast!

Thinking of gifting the paddle lesson, any tips?

Hey everyone! I'm looking to get a private stand up paddle lesson for my sister's birthday. She’s a total newbie but loves the ocean. I noticed this specific experience goes along the Anahulu stream, which sounds amazing. Has anyone done this? What was it like with the sea turtles? Any suggestions for the best time to go?

Just did the paddle lesson - incredible experience!

Just got back from the private paddle lesson at Anahulu stream. Seriously, it was one of the best things I've done in Oahu! The instructors were super chill and made it fun. We saw 3 turtles up close, plus the sunset was unreal. I totally recommend it for anyone wanting to do something special here!
