Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit, but kids should be at least 5 years old to enjoy the ride safely. The guides are great with kids and can adjust the experience based on your family's needs. Just make sure they can buckle up properly and hold on during the bumpy parts!
A: Definitely wear comfortable clothes and sturdy shoes. If it’s hot, light layers are great since it can get cooler at sunset. Don’t forget a hat and sunscreen! You’ll be in the sun for a bit, and trust me, the last thing you want is a sunburn in that beautiful area.
A: The guides are pretty good about monitoring the weather. If there’s rain or high winds, they’ll usually reschedule or cancel to keep everyone safe. Just check in with them a day or two ahead of your tour. They’ll keep you informed!

Just did the Jeep ride at Sand Mountain - WOW!
I just got back from the private sunset Jeep ride to Sand Mountain, and it was incredible! The views were breathtaking, especially when the sun started setting over Sand Hollow State Park. Our guide was super knowledgeable about the area, and the ride was bumpy but so much fun. I’d recommend bringing a camera because the photos are unreal! Just a heads up to pack a light jacket for when the sun goes down, it gets chilly up there!
Looking to gift this Jeep ride experience!
I’m planning to give this sunset Jeep ride to my parents for their anniversary. They love the outdoors but aren’t super fit for long hikes. This seems perfect! Anyone have recent experiences with the tour? How’s the food situation since I read we need to bring our own lunch?
