Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for the private surf lesson? Can kids join?

A: Yes, kids can definitely join! The surf school usually welcomes participants as young as 7 years old. Just make sure to let them know about the age of your child when booking, as they might pair them with an instructor experienced in working with younger surfers. It's a fantastic way for the whole family to enjoy the beach!

Q: What happens if the weather is bad on the day of the lesson?

A: If the weather looks rough, the surf school usually contacts you to reschedule. Safety is their priority, so they won't take you out if conditions aren’t safe. Just keep an eye on the forecast and reach out to them if you're uncertain. They’re really flexible, so rescheduling is usually pretty easy!

Q: What should I wear for the private surf lesson?

A: You'll get a wetsuit included, which is awesome! Just wear a swimsuit underneath and maybe some water shoes if you want extra grip. Flip flops are fine for walking on the beach but not great in the water. Also, don’t forget a towel and a change of clothes for afterward!

Just booked a private surf lesson in San Diego for my partner!

So I just got a private surf lesson for my partner's birthday! We’re going next month at San Diego Surf School. I can't wait! I know they're gonna love it. It's just the two of us, so I think it'll be super personal. Anyone have tips for a first-time surfer? Also, worried about how the instructor will handle beginners!

Anyone tried a private surf lesson? How was it?

I'm considering getting a private surf lesson for my brother's graduation gift. He’s never surfed before, but he loves being outdoors. Is it worth it? What was the vibe like? And how did you feel afterward?
