Q: Is there an age limit for the private surf lessons?

A: There’s no strict age limit, but it’s best for kids 7 and up. They’ll need to be able to swim a bit and follow instructions. If you have a younger kid, just check with the instructor beforehand. It's all about safety!

Q: What happens if the weather is bad on the day of the lesson?

A: If the waves are too big or the weather’s not safe, they usually reschedule the lesson. It's best to check in with Hana Paddle Boards the day before to see what they say. They’re pretty flexible with rescheduling!

Q: What should I wear for the surf lesson?

A: Definitely wear a swimsuit underneath since you'll be in and out of the water. The wetsuit is provided, but a rash guard can be nice for sun protection. Also, don't forget sunscreen! Malibu sun can be intense!

Just had an amazing time with the private surf lessons in Malibu! The instructor from Hana Paddle Boards was super chill and really knew his stuff. Got to hit the waves at Surfrider Beach, which is just stunning. Plus, they provided all the gear! It’s a little pricey, but totally worth it for the experience. I’m thinking of gifting this to my brother for his birthday. Anyone else done this? Would love to hear more experiences!
