Q&A

Q: Can this tour be rescheduled if the weather doesn't cooperate?

A: Yes, Mirlo Tours is pretty flexible with rescheduling due to weather conditions. If it’s looking like a stormy day, just reach out to them and they’ll help you find another date that works. I did this tour last month, and they were super accommodating when we had to move our date!

Q: What should we wear for the painting class and the hike?

A: Layers are key! It can get chilly at Cotopaxi, especially if you’re hiking up. Wear something breathable, but bring a warm jacket. For the painting class, just wear something you don’t mind getting a bit messy. Definitely bring sunscreen too, since you’ll be outside!

Q: Is this experience good for kids? What’s the age limit?

A: Yes, it’s great for kids! Mirlo Tours usually recommends ages 8 and up for the hike, since it can be a bit strenuous at times. But the painting class is really fun for all ages. Just keep in mind that younger kids might need a bit more supervision during the hike.

Just did the Cotopaxi and Quilotoa tour and it was amazing!

I just got back from the Cotopaxi and Quilotoa tour with Mirlo Tours, and wow, it was incredible. The views of Cotopaxi are unreal, and the painting class at Quilotoa was such a unique experience! I never thought I’d enjoy painting so much. Our guide was super knowledgeable about the Andean culture too, which added a lot to the experience. Definitely recommend this as a gift for anyone who loves the outdoors!

Considering gifting the Cotopaxi and Quilotoa tour!

Looking at getting this experience for my sister's birthday. She loves hiking and painting. For anyone who's done it, how was the transportation? Were the pick-up and drop-off easy? Also, any recommendations for additional activities nearby?
