Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit for the tour! It's suitable for all ages, but younger kids might get restless during the mansion tour. I brought my 8-year-old and he loved exploring the grounds, especially the farm animals! Just make sure to keep an eye on them inside the mansion.
A: Yes, you can definitely reschedule if the weather's not cooperating! Just reach out to All Washington View LLC directly—they're pretty flexible. I had to change my date once due to rain, and it was easy peasy.
A: Wear something comfy but nice! The mansion tour is indoors, so you won't need heavy clothes. But the estate grounds are large, so good walking shoes are a must. I'd recommend layers, especially if you're going in spring or fall—you never know how the weather may change!

Just did the Mount Vernon tour—so cool!
I just got back from the Private Tour of Mount Vernon and it was amazing! The van was super comfy and our guide was funny and knowledgeable. The mansion itself is so beautiful and packed with history. I loved walking around the estate and taking in the Potomac views. Definitely recommend it if you’re into history or just want a nice day out. Oh, and they provide bottled water, which is a nice touch!
Thinking of gifting this tour—thoughts?
I’m considering this private tour of Mount Vernon for my parents' anniversary. They love history and I think they’d enjoy the mansion tour. Has anyone done this with older adults? Any tips for making the day special?
