Take a guided driving tour of Trail Ridge Road in with us in our 3-row Subaru Ascent! Drive through Rocky Mountain National Park on a 3 - 4 hour private tour with only your party & your guide! Our Highway to the Sky Tour takes you up the iconic roads on the east side of Rocky Mountain National Park that are open for your visit (Trail Ridge Road: Jun - Sep, and off road on Old Fall River Road: Jul - Sep). You will see the land transition from valleys to the high alpine tundra with sweeping mountain views, and reach a peak elevation of 12,183 ft! Quick 10-minute stop at the Alpine Visitor Center for a bathroom break before you drive down Trail Ridge Road to Estes Park. This guided drive is NOT a walking tour and has little time outside of the vehicle, it's the perfect mountain cruise. We're only able to offer pickup for guests staying in Estes Park. If you're staying outside of Estes Park, we can meet you at the free parking garage for the Estes Park Visitor Center for pickup.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on this tour? Thinking of gifting it to my family!

A: There’s no specific age limit, but it's recommended for kids who can sit comfortably in a vehicle for a few hours. If your kids enjoy nature and can handle the heights, they’ll likely love it! Just make sure they’re aware there might be little time outside the car.

Q: What if the weather is bad? Can we reschedule?

A: Yes, they’re pretty flexible with rescheduling based on weather. If it’s unsafe to drive, just reach out to them, and they’ll help you find another date that works. Make sure to check the forecast ahead of time!

Q: What should we wear for the tour? Is it cold at the top?

A: Definitely dress in layers! It can be warm in Estes Park, but cooler at higher elevations. A light jacket is a must when you reach the peak! Bring sunglasses too, as the sun can be intense up there.

Just booked the Trail Ridge Road tour! So excited!

I finally booked the private tour of Trail Ridge Road for my family! We’re going in mid-September, and I can’t wait to see the views from 12,000 ft! Just wondering if anyone else has done it recently? What was your favorite part? I heard the drive is stunning!

Thinking of gifting this tour, but have some concerns

Hey everyone! I’m considering getting the private tour of Trail Ridge Road as a gift for my parents. They love scenic drives, but I’m worried about the altitude and if they’ll enjoy just being in the car for a few hours. Has anyone done this with older folks?
