Q&A
A: The meeting point is usually at a designated spot in Hilo or near Volcanoes National Park. I recommend checking with Malahini Tours closer to your tour date for the exact address. Parking can be tricky, so arriving a bit early is wise. Carpooling or using a rideshare service can also help avoid parking hassles.
A: Kids are definitely welcome on the Private Volcano Tour! Just check with Malahini Tours about their recommendations for younger kids, as some parts of the tour can be rugged. Also, be sure to pack some snacks for the little ones; they might get hungry during the trip!
A: Layering is key! Wear breathable clothes since it can get warm, but also pack a light jacket for the cooler volcanic areas. Good hiking shoes are a must, too! Don't forget sunscreen and a hat since you'll be out in the sun for a bit. Bring a reusable water bottle – they'll provide bottled water, but it's always good to have extra!

Just booked the Private Volcano Tour for my parents – any tips?
I got this experience for my parents' anniversary, and they're super excited! We’ll be visiting the Big Island next month. I heard the views are incredible and they love history, so I'm hoping they’ll enjoy the cultural insights as well. Any must-see spots or tips for making it special?
Anyone done the Private Volcano Tour? What was your favorite part?
I just came back from the Private Volcano Tour, and it was amazing! The guides were so knowledgeable about the history of the Big Island, and the views were just breathtaking. We even got to see some steam vents up close! What should I tell my friends about it, or would it be worth it as a gift?
