We will visit two wineries during our tour and we'll provide history bits, snacks and water, and behind-the-scenes tours and tastings. Each tour is led by a certified wine expert. A: You can contact Spirited Tours to reschedule your winery tour. They’re pretty flexible as long as you give them a heads-up. Just make sure to reach out at least a week in advance so they can adjust the schedule accordingly. If you booked through a gift voucher, check the terms because they usually have specific rescheduling options too.

Q: What age limits are there for this wine tasting experience?

A: For the winery tours, everyone needs to be 21 or older to partake in the tastings. If you bring younger guests, they can still join the tour but won’t be able to drink the wine. Just make sure to let Spirited Tours know in advance so they can plan accordingly. They usually do a great job accommodating groups with both adults and non-drinkers.

Q: How do I get there if I’m not from DC? Is parking a hassle?

A: If you book the private tour, they’ll pick you up from any location in DC, which makes it super easy! No need to worry about parking or navigating out to the wineries. The ride is in an air-conditioned vehicle, so it’s comfy too. Just coordinate with them about your pickup location when you book. If you’re driving yourself, the wineries usually have plenty of parking.

Just finished the winery tour and wow, what an experience!

I just got back from the Private Virginia Winery Wine Tasting Tour and it was such a blast! The pickup was easy, we got snacks on the way, and the first winery was beautiful. The guide was super knowledgeable about all the wines we tasted. Seriously, if you’re thinking about gifting this, DO IT! Everyone in our group had an awesome time.
