Q&A
A: Yes, kids can join! It's generally family-friendly, but I recommend checking with the provider. They usually say ages 5 and up are okay. Just keep in mind it's a short hike, but it can be slippery near the falls, so some supervision is needed.
A: Definitely wear something you can get wet! Light hiking shoes are best, but you might still get muddy. The guide will help you choose the best path. A swimsuit and quick-dry clothes are perfect for swimming at the falls!
A: Yes, you can reschedule! Just reach out to them as soon as you can. They usually allow changes if the weather is really bad, since safety is a priority. Make sure to check the forecast before your trip!

Just did the private waterfall hike in Lihue—life-changing experience!
OMG, I just got back from the Private Waterfalls Hike and Swim and it was AMAZING! The views of the Hule’ia watershed were breathtaking, and swimming behind Papakolea Falls made me feel like I was in a movie. We took tons of pics at Bamboo Falls too. I can’t recommend this enough as a gift for someone who loves nature! Just a heads up, the hike was a bit slippery, so wear good shoes!
Thinking of gifting the Waterfalls Hike—any last-minute tips?
I'm considering this as a gift for my partner who loves hiking and swimming. The private waterfalls sound like a dream come true! How's the parking situation? Is it hard to get to the trailhead? Any tips for making it more special?
