Q: What should we wear for the wolf and bear watching tour? Is it cold in the mornings?

A: I suggest dressing in layers! Mornings can be chilly, especially in Gardiner, so a good jacket, maybe a beanie, and comfy shoes are a must. You might even want to bring some gloves just in case. Once the sun comes out, you can shed some layers, but don’t underestimate the cold early on!

Q: What's the best time of year to do this tour? Any recommendations?

A: I’d say spring and fall are the prime times! In spring, you might see bear cubs, and in fall, the wildlife is super active prepping for winter. Plus, fewer crowds! Just check the weather; early mornings can be quite cool.

Q: Is it okay for kids to join the private tour? What's the age limit?

A: Yes, kids are more than welcome! Just keep in mind that younger children might need a bit more attention, especially when spotting wildlife, but our guide was great with all ages. Just check with the provider about any specific age guidelines before booking.

I can't believe how incredible the private wolf and bear watching tour was! Our guide was super knowledgeable and we saw both a pack of wolves and a couple of bears from a distance. It was so cool to use the Swarovski spotting scopes. We had a great mix of driving and stopping, so we got to see a lot! Definitely worth every penny.
