Choose your own adventure! You pick the distance (6-10 miles on average), terrain, scenery, and difficulty for a spectacular day in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Abundant waterfalls, the highest peaks east of the Mississippi, and the prettiest views you'll find in the South are all at your disposal off the Blue Ridge Parkway, on the Appalachian Trail, or hidden deep Pisgah National Forest. Price includes your guide and a picnic lunch; please specify dietary restrictions when booking. Trekking poles are provided upon request. Transportation is not included, but can be added for an additional fee (depending on availability). We hike rain or shine! We will cancel the hike in the event of dangerous weather. Blue Ridge Hiking Company has been in business for 13 years; we believe the trail is there for everyone at every phase of life. Q: What happens if it rains during the hike? Do they cancel?

A: They hike rain or shine unless there’s dangerous weather. I went a couple of weeks ago when it started pouring, but the guides were super prepared. They had gear for us, and we ended up having a blast! Just be ready for the mud if it does rain.

A: There aren’t strict age limits, but I’d say it’s best for ages 10 and up, depending on their hiking experience. The guides are great at adjusting the hike based on the group’s needs, so younger kids could join if they’re up for it. Just make sure to communicate with them when booking!

A: Absolutely! You can specify your preferred terrain when booking. If you want a challenging rocky path or a more relaxed forest trail, just let them know. They really cater to what you’re looking for!

I did the Privately Guided Full Day Hike last month, and it was incredible! We chose a 7-mile hike that had the most stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The guide was super knowledgeable about the area. Plus, that picnic lunch hit the spot! Definitely recommend it for a day out.
