Q&A
A: Yes, kids can definitely join the sunset hike! It’s recommended for ages 8 and up, especially for the 3-mile easy to moderate trail. Just keep in mind that the 2-mile moderate to challenging hike might be a bit tough for younger kids. Also, it’s a good idea to bring something to keep them motivated during the hike!
A: Definitely wear layers! It can get chilly when the sun sets, so a light long-sleeve shirt under a windbreaker works well. Good hiking shoes are a must, and don’t forget a hat if you’re sensitive to sun. And if it looks like rain, a rain jacket is super important!
A: They really do hike rain or shine! However, if the weather is severe, they will either cancel or reschedule the hike. It’s always good to check the forecast and be prepared for all conditions. Make sure to bring a waterproof jacket just in case!

Just did the sunset hike in Asheville, and wow!
I recently went on the Privately Guided Sunset Hike near Asheville, and it was incredible! We took the 3-mile trail, which was perfect for my fitness level. The guide was super friendly and gave us lots of info about the area. Watching the sunset from the peak was absolutely breathtaking, especially with the headlamps for our trek back. I highly recommend it as a gift for anyone who loves the outdoors!
