A: Yes, the Queen’s City Black Legacy Walking Tour is family-friendly! Kids around 10 and up usually get a lot out of it, especially if they’re interested in history. Just keep in mind that the tour can involve a fair amount of walking, so be sure your kids are up for it. It’s a fantastic way to engage them in learning about local history.
A: Comfort is key! Wear comfortable shoes since you'll be walking quite a bit through Charlotte. Dress for the weather, too – layers work best in case it gets warm or cools down. And don't forget to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated!
A: If it rains, the tour usually goes on unless there’s severe weather. They’ll let you know in advance if they need to reschedule. Just keep an eye on the forecast and maybe bring an umbrella, just in case!

Thinking of booking the Queen’s City Black Legacy Walking Tour!
Hey everyone, I'm considering getting my dad the Queen’s City Black Legacy Walking Tour in Charlotte for his birthday. He loves history and I think this would be right up his alley! I'm just a bit worried about how long the tour lasts—anyone know if it’s a few hours or more? Also, what was the guide like? Thanks!
Just finished the Queen’s City Black Legacy Walking Tour - amazing!
I went on the Queen’s City Black Legacy Walking Tour last weekend and it was such a powerful experience! The guide was really passionate and shared so many incredible stories about Charlotte's history. Definitely wear comfy shoes, though—I didn’t realize how much walking we’d be doing. I highly recommend it for anyone, especially if you love learning about local culture!
