Q&A

Q: Can I bring my kids along for the rafting and camping experience?

A: Yes, kids are welcome! However, there are generally age restrictions for rafting. It’s best for kids ages 8 and up. Make sure to check with Salt River Rafting for their specific age policy and any restrictions. Just pack some extra snacks and games for the campsite!

Q: What's the best time of year to go rafting and camping in Claypool?

A: The best time is from late spring to early fall (May to September). The weather is usually warm, and the water levels are good for rafting. Just keep an eye on forecasts, as summer storms can pop up unexpectedly!

Q: What’s the parking situation like at the camp?

A: Parking is super easy! The camp is less than 3 miles from the highway, and any vehicle can get there. You can park right next to your tent area, which makes it convenient to unload your stuff. Just be mindful of the terrain!

Just booked the Raft & Camp experience for my partner's birthday!

Super excited for this gift! We’re going in October, and I’ve heard the stars are incredible at night. I’m planning on packing a cozy blanket and some s'mores stuff. Can anyone recommend good campfire games? Also, what should we wear for rafting?

Just came back from the Raft & Camp experience!

Wow, what a blast! The rafting was super fun, and the guides were really chill and safety-conscious. Setting up camp beside the river was perfect. Dinner was included, and we even had a campfire to sit around. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fun outdoor adventure!
