Q&A

Q: Is there a minimum age for participants on this tour?

A: There isn't a strict minimum age, but I would say it's best suited for teens and adults since it involves a fair amount of walking and history discussions. Younger kids might get restless during the six-hour tour. If you're bringing younger children, just keep that in mind!

Q: What if it rains? Do they cancel the tour?

A: They run tours rain or shine! If the weather's too severe, they’ll reschedule you. Just be sure to check the forecast and dress appropriately. An umbrella and comfy shoes are a must!

Q: What do you recommend wearing for the tour?

A: Definitely wear comfortable shoes since you'll be walking quite a bit! I’d suggest dressing in layers too, as the weather can change from cool to warm. A light jacket or sweater is great for the morning, and maybe a hat for sun protection in the afternoon.

Just got back from the Raleigh Full Day Tour!

I took the Raleigh Full Day Historian-Guided Tour last weekend, and it was amazing! We started off in an air-conditioned van, which was a lifesaver. The guide was super knowledgeable and took us to some great local restaurants. The museums were fascinating too! I highly recommend it if you want a deep dive into Raleigh’s history and culture. Just a heads up, wear comfy shoes because you’ll definitely be walking around a lot!

Thinking of gifting the Raleigh tour, any thoughts?

I’m considering getting the Raleigh Full Day Tour as a gift for my parents who love history. Has anyone done it? What can I expect? I want to make sure they have a great experience. They love exploring new places but are not super active, so I hope it’s not too strenuous.
