Q: What should my friend wear for the rappelling adventure? Is there any gear I need to buy?

A: I'd recommend wearing comfortable, breathable clothing that allows for movement, like moisture-wicking shirts and hiking pants. Sturdy shoes are a must—closed-toe hiking shoes or climbing shoes work great. The guides provide all the climbing equipment, but if you have your own helmet or harness, you could bring those too. Don't forget a hat and sunglasses for sun protection while you're out there!

Q: Is there an age limit for this rappelling experience? Can kids join?

A: Yes, kids can definitely participate! Most companies require participants to be at least 10 years old, and as long as they are accompanied by an adult, they can join the rappelling adventure. It’s a great family activity, and the guides are really good with kids and make sure everyone feels safe and included.

Q: What happens if the weather's bad? Do we get our money back?

A: If the weather doesn’t cooperate, the guides will usually contact you to reschedule. They won't take you out in unsafe conditions like heavy rain or high winds. Most companies have a flexible rescheduling policy, so just check their terms when you book. As for refunds, that can depend on the provider, but they do their best to accommodate you for a make-up date.

Anyone done the rappelling at Joshua Tree? Is it worth it?

I’m considering getting this rappelling experience as a gift for my sister. She loves adventures and has done a couple of rock climbing classes. Is it challenging? I want to make sure she’ll be safe but also have a great time. Any feedback is appreciated!
