Please Note: A minimum of 2 people is required for this tour to run. Experience the best of Colorado in a single unforgettable day. We'll begin with a guided nature hike through the world-famous Red Rocks Park, where towering red sandstone formations frame sweeping views of the Front Range. Along the trail, learn about local wildlife, geology, and the natural history that makes this area one of the state’s true treasures. From there, enjoy a scenic mountain drive into the high country as we make our way to a quiet subalpine lake—the perfect setting for a peaceful, freshly prepared picnic lunch surrounded by pines, rugged peaks, and crisp alpine air. After lunch, we’ll continue to the historic mining town of Idaho Springs for a rejuvenating 2-hour soak at Indian Hot Springs, one of Colorado’s most iconic thermal pools. This full-day experience blends nature, scenery, local history, and deep relaxation—crafted for travelers who want a rich, authentic taste of Colorado’s outdoors.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this hike and hot spring soak experience?

A: There's no strict age limit, but it's best suited for kids 8 and up since the hike can be moderately challenging in places. If you have younger kids, just check with the provider about the specific trail to see if it’s a good fit. They’re pretty accommodating!

Q: What should we wear for the hike and soak? Is it casual or more athletic?

A: Definitely go for athletic wear! You’ll want comfortable hiking shoes and maybe a light jacket since it can get cooler up in the mountains. For the hot springs, just bring your swimsuit and a towel. Flip-flops are great for walking around the springs!

Q: What happens if the weather is bad on the day of the tour?

A: If the weather’s looking really bad, the tour operator will usually reach out to reschedule or offer a refund. Just make sure to check their cancellation policy beforehand. It's Colorado, so the weather can change fast, but they’ve got it handled!

Just did the Red Rocks hike and hot spring soak - amazing day!

I just got back from the Red Rocks Nature Hike and Hot Spring Soak and wow, what a day! The hike was beautiful, the views over Denver are to die for! Our guide was super knowledgeable, and lunch at that subalpine lake was such a treat. The hot springs were the perfect way to unwind after a long hike. Totally recommend it for anyone visiting Denver! Just be prepared for some elevation changes on the hike.

Thinking of gifting the Red Rocks hike/hot springs - worth it?

I’m considering this experience as a gift for my parents. They love nature but aren’t super outdoorsy. Is this hike too strenuous? Also, how’s the hot spring experience? I want them to enjoy it without feeling overwhelmed.
