Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for renting the ATV?

A: Yes, to rent the ATV, drivers must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license. However, younger passengers are welcome as long as they wear the provided helmets. So, it's perfect for families, just keep that in mind if you're planning a trip with younger kids!

Q: What should we wear for this ATV ride? Any recommendations?

A: Definitely wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothes. Long pants and closed-toe shoes are ideal since it can get muddy. Even in warmer weather, you might want to bring a light jacket because it can get breezy out there in the Deming area. Also, goggles or sunglasses to protect your eyes are a plus!

Q: What happens if the weather is bad on the day we booked?

A: If weather conditions are unsafe, Paynes Rec Rentals will contact you to reschedule. It’s good to keep an eye on the forecast leading up to your trip. They’re pretty flexible with changing dates as long as you give them enough notice, so just make sure to check before heading out!

Just did the ATV rental in San Juan Islands - Awesome experience!

I took my brother out for his birthday, and we had a blast! The trails around Deming were super fun and the scenery was breathtaking. The helmets they provided fit perfectly, which was a relief. We ended up spending around 3 hours riding and wish we could’ve stayed longer. Totally recommend this for anyone looking for an adventure! Just make sure to check the weather before you go!

Thinking of gifting the ATV rental - any tips?

I'm considering this for my boyfriend's birthday. He loves the outdoors but hasn’t ridden an ATV before. Is this a good option for total beginners? What else should I know?
