Q&A
A: There isn't a strict age limit, but we recommend that kids be at least 8 years old to participate. They must be able to swim and feel comfortable in the water. It's also a good idea to check with the provider, Dvoraks Expeditions, to see if they have any specific safety gear for younger paddlers.
A: If there are adverse weather conditions, like thunderstorms or high winds, Dvoraks Expeditions typically offers to reschedule your booking. Just make sure to call them as soon as you think the weather will be an issue, and they’re usually pretty flexible with rescheduling. Keep an eye on the forecast!
A: You definitely want to wear something comfortable that you don't mind getting wet! It's okay to go barefoot, but I recommend wearing water shoes or sandals that you can swim in. They’ll help with grip on the board and protect your feet from sharp rocks. Don't forget sunscreen, too!

Just did the half-day paddleboard rental in Buena Vista and loved it!
I just got back from renting a SUP from Dvoraks in Buena Vista and it was amazing! The river was so clear, and paddling was super chill. I took a lesson because I was a total newbie, but it was really fun and they made it easy to learn. The included gear was all in great shape. I can't recommend it enough if you're looking for a unique gift. My friend loved it!
Considering gifting a SUP experience for my partner's birthday!
Hey everyone! I want to get my partner a half-day paddleboard rental for their birthday. They’ve never tried it, but I heard paddleboarding is really fun. Do you think a lesson is necessary for beginners? I'm kinda nervous about them not enjoying it. Any tips?
