Q&A
A: There's no strict age limit, but I'd recommend this experience for ages 8 and up. Kids will love spotting the critters, but younger ones might need a little extra supervision. Just make sure they’re comfortable walking in the desert and handling small creatures. It’s a fun family outing!
A: Definitely wear long pants and closed-toed shoes! The desert can be pretty rough, and you’ll want to protect yourself from scrapes and sunburn. A wide-brim hat and sunglasses are also a good idea. And don't forget sunscreen! It can get super hot out there.
A: If the weather looks iffy, My Arizona Guide usually reaches out to reschedule. They keep an eye on conditions, especially for storms and extreme heat. It's a good idea to check in a day or two before your booking to confirm. They’re pretty flexible about moving dates.

Thinking of gifting the reptile hunting experience in Flagstaff!
Hey everyone! I’m considering getting this reptile hunting experience for my boyfriend’s birthday. He’s a huge fan of animals and loves the outdoors. I’m just a bit worried about how hot it might get in the Sonoran Desert and if we’ll see a good variety of reptiles. Have any of you done this? What was it like?
Just went on the reptile hunting tour – SO worth it!
Just got back from the reptile hunt and wow, what an experience! We saw King Snakes, tons of lizards, and even some scorpions! The guides were super knowledgeable and really made it fun. I was worried about the heat, but we had plenty of water and snacks. If you're thinking about gifting this, do it! It’s a unique adventure.
