Experience the beauty of Resurrection Bay, its abundant marine life, and beautiful glacial vistas on this Seward kayaking excursion from Lowell Point. On this trip, we paddle the shoreline of Resurrection Bay, where encounters with sea otters, sea birds, bald eagles, and leaping salmon are common. Our day will include a paddle along the coastline and walking through a temperate rain forest. Along the way, we'll enjoy a snack and beverages. Participants must be 8 years old and a minimum of 50 lb to participate. Paddlers over 6'4" or 250 lb will not fit in our kayaks.

Q&A

Q: What's the age limit for this kayaking adventure? Can my 7-year-old join?

A: Participants must be at least 8 years old and weigh a minimum of 50 lbs to join this kayaking trip. Unfortunately, your 7-year-old won't be able to participate in this experience. But there are other family-friendly activities in Seward that might be fun for younger kids!

Q: How does rescheduling work if the weather doesn't cooperate?

A: If the weather is bad and they need to cancel the tour, Sunny Cove Kayaking will reach out to you to reschedule or offer a refund. They’re pretty accommodating, so I wouldn’t worry too much. Just keep an eye on the weather leading up to your booking!

Q: What do we need to wear for the Resurrection Bay kayaking trip?

A: You’ll want to dress in layers because it can get chilly. They provide splash jackets and pants, but wearing something like quick-dry clothing underneath is a good idea. Also, don’t forget a hat and sunscreen—especially when you’re out on the water!

Just booked the Resurrection Bay kayaking trip for my family!

Hey everyone! I just secured spots for me, my husband, and our daughter for the Resurrection Bay Waterfall and Rainforest Adventure next month. I’m kinda nervous, but I’ve heard amazing things about the sea life! What should we be prepared for? Any tips on what to bring aside from our excitement? 😂

I’m considering this as a gift for my boyfriend’s birthday. He loves the outdoors but has never kayaked before. Is this a good choice? What’s the difficulty level? Any feedback would be appreciated!
