Q&A
A: The Richmond Ghost Tour is primarily aimed at adults, but it can be suitable for older kids who can handle spooky stories and themes. The guides are pretty good at gauging the crowd, so if you have a teen who loves ghost stories, they might enjoy it! Just keep in mind that some tales touch on serious historical topics, so it might be best to chat with your kids about what to expect.
A: Dress comfortably! It's a walking tour, so wear good shoes, and if it's chilly, a light jacket is a must. They do go out rain or shine, so check the forecast before you head out. If it looks like rain, bring an umbrella for sure; you don’t want soggy shoes while looking for ghosts!
A: Yes, you can reschedule your tour! Just reach out to them at least 24 hours in advance, and they’ll help you find another time. It’s super helpful if your plans change unexpectedly. Just make sure to do it within that timeframe so you don’t miss out!

Thinking of giving the Richmond Ghost Tour as a gift!
Hey guys! I’m considering giving the Richmond Ghost Tour, specifically the Sinister Secrets of Shockoe Bottom, to my friend for their birthday. They love history and spooky stories, so I think it’d be a hit! Has anyone done this tour? What were the guides like, and were the stories pretty engaging? I'm just a bit worried about the walking part since my friend isn't the most fit. Any tips would be appreciated!
Just got back from the Richmond Ghost Tour, and wow!
I just finished the Sinister Secrets tour, and oh man, it was so much fun! The guides had this amazing way of bringing the stories to life, especially the one about the old slave market. I loved the mix of history and spooky. It was a little emotional too, but really informative! A heads up: the tour does cover some heavy topics, so be prepared for that. Overall, highly recommend!
