Q&A

Q: What's the age limit for kids on this rafting trip?

A: Kids as young as 6 can join the trip! Just make sure they’re comfortable in the water and can follow safety instructions. Often, there's also a family-friendly section of the river that’s perfect for younger kids. It’s definitely a great bonding activity!

Q: Is there a chance of trip cancellation due to weather?

A: Yes, weather can affect the trip. If conditions are unsafe, they’ll reschedule or cancel. They typically notify you a day in advance if there’s a risk. Refunds or rescheduling options are usually available, so no worries there!

Q: What should we wear for the rafting trip?

A: Dress in quick-dry clothing! Swimsuits and a rash guard work great. Don’t forget water shoes or sandals with straps. It can get chilly on the water, so a light jacket might be good in case the weather changes.

Thinking about gifting the Salmon River rafting trip to my boyfriend!

I’m considering getting the 1-day rafting trip near Riggins, ID as a surprise for my boyfriend’s birthday. I love that it includes lunch and all the gear. I’ve never done anything like this before, but we both love adventure. Any tips on what to expect?

Just got back from the Salmon River trip, it was amazing!

Wow, I just did the rafting trip with Orange Torpedo Trips and it was such a blast! The lunch was actually really good, and the guides were super knowledgeable. I was worried about the rapids, but they were manageable and exhilarating. Definitely a must-do if you're in Idaho!
