Q&A
A: Yes, there is an age limit! Generally, kids have to be at least 8 years old to participate in the rafting trips. But if you're going for the inflatable kayaking, younger kids might be okay as long as they're with an adult. It's always good to check with the company directly for the most current info.
A: If the weather isn't safe for rafting, the trip will typically be rescheduled. They’ll monitor conditions closely, and you can always call ahead to check. I've done this trip in the spring and had to reschedule due to rain, but they were super accommodating!
A: Dress in quick-drying clothes! A swimsuit and a rash guard work great. But if it’s early in the season or cooler, you might want a wetsuit too. They provide all the necessary gear like life jackets, but you’ll need to be comfortable with what you wear. Just be prepared to get wet!

Thinking of gifting the Salmon River rafting trip - thoughts?
Hey everyone! I’m considering giving my brother the half-day rafting trip in Riggins for his birthday. He’s not super experienced but loves the outdoors. I found out they teach you how to paddle yourself if you want, which is kinda cool. Any tips or experiences you can share? Would this be a good gift for him?
Just did the Salmon River rafting trip - it was epic!
OMG, I just got back from the half-day rafting trip with Orange Torpedo Trips and it was SO much fun! The river is beautiful, and even though I was nervous at first, the guides made it super chill. We learned how to kayak and I actually paddled down part of it. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun day out!
