Q&A
A: Yes, there is typically a minimum age of around 5 years old for tubing on the Comal River. However, younger kids can join if they’re in a tube with a responsible adult. Just make sure everyone has a life jacket if they're under 12! It’s a great family activity, just be mindful of the little ones at the chutes.
A: Wear a swimsuit and water shoes if you have them, it's super slippery at the launch area. Don't forget a quick-dry towel and maybe a waterproof bag for your phone. Also, sunscreen is a must since you'll be out in the sun for a while. Sunglasses with a strap are also a good idea!
A: If the weather looks questionable, you can usually reschedule your tubing trip without a fee, especially if it’s stormy or there's lightning. Just make sure to call ahead and check their policy or website. They’re pretty flexible as long as you give them some notice, but it’s best to go when it’s sunny and warm!

Best day ever tubing on the Comal River!
Just got back from tubing on the Comal River and wow, what a blast! The water was a perfect 72 degrees, and the three chutes were totally exhilarating. We went with a group of friends and the shuttle made everything super easy. We reserved our spots online which helped avoid the crowds. Totally recommend this as a summer gift!
Considering the Comal River tubing experience as a gift, any thoughts?
I'm thinking about getting the tubing experience on the Comal River for my friend's birthday. She's never been tubing before! The price is great, but I’m curious about what the chutes are like and if it’s good for beginners or not. Any tips?
