Q: What’s the best age range for kids on the Road to Hana tour?

A: Honestly, kids as young as 5 can enjoy this tour! We had our 6-year-old along, and he loved the waterfalls and the food trucks. Just keep in mind that the ride can get bumpy in spots, so if your kid gets car sick, bring some ginger candies or something! All ages are welcome, so it's a great family activity.

Q: Is there a dress code or anything we should wear for the tour?

A: Casual and comfortable is the way to go! I'd recommend wearing a bathing suit under your clothes since you'll definitely want to jump in the waterfalls. Also, bring a light jacket for the cooler spots and wear sturdy shoes for hiking. Flip-flops aren't the best choice.

Q: What happens if the weather is bad? Can we reschedule?

A: If the weather looks really bad, you can definitely reschedule! Epic Maui Hikes will work with you to find a better day. We were lucky, but I’ve heard of others getting rained out and they were able to switch with no issues. Just make sure you call ahead to confirm details.

Road to Hana - best day ever!

Just got back from the Road to Hana tour and wow, what an experience! The waterfalls were breathtaking, and our guide was super knowledgeable. The lunch at the food trucks was delicious. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Maui! Also, don’t forget a swimsuit! We jumped in the waterfall, and it was the highlight of our day.
