Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for the rock climbing trips? My kids are 8 and 10.

A: There’s no strict age limit, but it's encouraged that kids are 8 years or older. They should be able to follow instructions and have a basic understanding of safety. Just make sure you let the guides know about your kids' ages, so they can plan accordingly! It's a great way to bond as a family in such an incredible setting like Joshua Tree.

Q: What should we wear for the climbing trip? Is there anything we shouldn't bring?

A: Definitely wear comfortable, breathable clothing that you can move in easily. Avoid jeans since they can restrict your movement. Hiking shoes are a must, but if you have climbing shoes, bring those too! As for what not to bring, leave behind any loose jewelry and big backpacks; they'll just get in the way.

Q: Can we reschedule if the weather is bad? How does that work?

A: Yes, you can absolutely reschedule in case of bad weather! The guides at Stone Adventures will usually contact you on the day of the trip if conditions are unsafe. They’re super flexible and want to ensure you have the best experience. Just reach out to them as soon as you know you need to change your plans.

Thinking about gifting a climbing trip for my brother’s birthday!

Hey everyone! I’m considering getting my brother a rock climbing trip in Joshua Tree. He’s done some indoor climbing but never outdoors. I love that it’s an 8-hour trip because he can really dive in and learn. Has anyone done this? Is it beginner-friendly? I want him to have fun but also feel challenged!

Just booked the Joshua Tree trip! Any last-minute tips?

I just booked this climbing trip for my girlfriend’s birthday. Super stoked! We’re both a little nervous since it’s our first outdoor climbing experience. Any tips on what to bring or how to prepare? Also, how's the parking situation at the park?
