Q&A
A: The age minimum for the Royal Gorge rafting tour is 12 years old, but if your teen is adventurous and over 100 lbs, they should be fine! Just keep in mind that the rapids can get pretty intense. I took my 16-year-old, and they had an absolute blast! River Runners usually suggests that you check their website for the latest safety guidelines.
A: Nope! River Runners provides all the necessary rafting gear, including life jackets and paddles, so you just need to dress for the weather. Bring a change of clothes for after the trip and maybe some water shoes if you have 'em.
A: If the weather looks dangerous, they will reschedule your tour, typically giving you options for different days. Just make sure to check the forecast leading up to your trip. River Runners are pretty good about keeping you informed!

Just got back from the Royal Gorge rafting trip!
OMG, you guys! I just did the full day rafting tour at Royal Gorge and it was AMAZING! The views under the suspension bridge are insane, and the rapids were so much fun! We went with River Runners, and they provided us lunch which was a nice touch. I totally recommend it for anyone looking for a thrill! Definitely wear quick-dry clothes because the water splashes a LOT!
Thinking of gifting the Royal Gorge rafting experience!
Hey everyone! I'm thinking of giving the Royal Gorge Full Day High Adventure Whitewater Rafting tour as a gift to my brother who loves the outdoors. Has anyone here done it? How was the experience? Any tips on what to expect? I'm a bit nervous about the rapids and whether it's too intense for him since he’s pretty adventurous but hasn’t rafted before.
