Rides are available for all ages and skill levels from beginner to expert. Our horseback tours wind through some of the most beautiful scenery that southern Utah has to offer. Come explore trails taken by old west outlaws and enjoy a rare chance to see remnants of ancient Native Americans. Some trails are more rugged than others so for safety reasons we require that children must be at least 7 years old to participate.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for the horseback ride? My niece is 6 and loves horses!

A: Yes, for safety reasons, children need to be at least 7 years old to participate in the rides. It’s a great adventure through the beautiful trails of Bryce Canyon, so I’d recommend waiting a year and then taking her! The guides are super friendly and they'll make the experience memorable.

Q: What should I wear for the horseback ride? Is there a dress code?

A: You should wear comfortable clothing! I'd suggest long pants and closed-toe shoes, preferably boots if you have them. Sunscreen is a must since you’ll be out in the sun, and maybe a hat too! Just dress for the weather in Bryce Canyon.

Q: How rugged are the trails? Is it suitable for beginners?

A: The trails vary in difficulty, but most are manageable for beginners. The guides will help you choose the best route based on your comfort level. Just let them know you're a first-timer, and they’ll make sure you have a great time!

Just booked Ruby's Horseback Adventures for my family!

Hey everyone! I just booked the 1.5-hour ride at Ruby's Horseback Adventures in Bryce Canyon for my family and I’m so excited! We’re all beginners, but the reviews say the guides are great at making sure everyone feels comfortable. Plus, the scenery looks amazing from the pics! Can’t wait to explore the old west trails and hopefully spot some wildlife too!

Anyone done the Ruby's Horseback ride recently?

I’m thinking about gifting this horseback ride to my sister for her birthday! Just wondering if the ride is really as good as it sounds. I’ve read mixed reviews about logistics and delays, but the idea of riding through Bryce Canyon is hard to resist. Anyone have recent experiences?
