Rides are available for all ages and skill levels from beginner to expert. Our horseback tours wind through some of the most beautiful scenery that southern Utah has to offer. Come explore trails taken by old west outlaws and enjoy a rare chance to see remnants of ancient Native Americans. Some trails are more rugged than others so for safety reasons we require that children must be at least 7 years old to participate.

Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for this horseback ride at Ruby's Horseback Adventures?

A: Yes, kids need to be at least 7 years old to participate in the rides. This is mainly for safety reasons since some trails can be pretty rugged. If you're thinking of gifting this to a younger child, keep that in mind. But if they’re 7 or older, they should have a blast!

Q: What should we wear for the horseback ride, and do we need to bring anything?

A: It’s best to wear long pants and closed-toe shoes, like boots or sturdy sneakers. The weather can change fast in Bryce Canyon, so layering is a good idea! Bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and maybe a hat for sun protection. They usually provide helmets, but you can ask just to be sure.

Q: How do we handle cancellations if the weather is bad?

A: If the weather doesn’t cooperate, Ruby's Inn typically reschedules your ride rather than outright canceling it. They’re pretty good about keeping you updated, and safety is their priority. Just make sure to check their cancellation policy when booking, so you know what to expect.

Anyone done the half-day ride with Ruby's Horseback Adventures? How was it?

I’m thinking of getting this for my sister's birthday. She loves horses and outdoor adventures! I saw they go through some amazing trails in Bryce Canyon. I’ve heard it’s suitable for beginners too, which is great since she’s never ridden before. Just want some more feedback before I pull the trigger on the gift.

Looking for tips on taking kids on the horseback ride!

I’m planning to take my 8-year-old on this Ruby's Inn adventure, and I'm so excited! Any tips on what to expect? Is it really kid-friendly? Honestly, I’m a bit nervous but I want it to be a fun experience for both of us!
