A: There isn't a strict age limit, but they recommend kids be at least 8 years old to participate safely. Make sure they can handle a kayak and wear a life jacket. The tour is pretty family-friendly, but it's always good to check with the guide beforehand if you're unsure!
A: Yes! If the weather looks unsafe, they’ll usually reach out to reschedule or offer a refund. Just keep an eye on their policy on the website, as they’re pretty flexible. But you might want to call them the day before to confirm if you’re worried!
A: Yes, there’s parking right near the launch site! It’s usually pretty easy to find a spot, but it can fill up during peak season, so maybe arrive a bit early. Also, check for any parking fees just in case!

Just did the Russian River Kayak Tour! Amazing experience!
I took the kayak tour last weekend with some friends and it was seriously one of the best days ever! We saw seals sunbathing and even spotted a whale in the distance! The guides were super chill and informative. Paddling along the Russian River to where it meets the Pacific was breathtaking. If you’re looking for a unique gift experience, I’d totally recommend this one! Just make sure to dress in layers, it can get chilly by the water.
Thinking about gifting the Sonoma Coast Kayak Tour?
I’m considering this for my brother’s birthday. He loves nature and kayaking. I’m just worried about how strenuous the tour is. I’ve seen mixed reviews. Also, what’s the best time of year to go? I want him to have an awesome time!
