Q&A
A: There’s no official minimum age for the self-guided tour, but younger kids might get bored since it’s more about the history and less about interactive stuff. I took my 10-year-old, and he had a blast but needed a bit of extra motivation to stay engaged. If you think they might enjoy the music history, it’s a great pick for families!
A: Spring and fall are ideal for the Ryman tour because the weather is usually mild. Summers can get crowded since a lot of tourists visit during that time. Plus, if you go in April, you might catch some special events around CMA Fest! Just be sure to check the Ryman’s calendar for any shows happening.
A: Parking can be a bit tricky since the Ryman is in downtown Nashville. There’s a parking garage nearby, but it fills up fast, especially on weekends. I recommend arriving early or using rideshare if you can. Just keep in mind, parking might cost around $20 depending on where you park.

Just did the Ryman Auditorium tour—what an experience!
I bought the self-guided tour for my boyfriend's birthday, and it was a hit! The 'Soul of Nashville' intro movie really sets the mood. Walking the same stage as legends is surreal! The Hatch Show Print gallery was so cool, too. Definitely worth the price (which is free, so... even better!). I'd recommend this for anyone who loves music history!
Planning to gift the Ryman tour—any tips?
I'm thinking about getting this tour for my dad’s retirement. He's a huge country music fan. What’s the best way to plan for it? Should I book a specific time, or is it more flexible? Also, I'm curious about the best day to go. Thanks!
