Take a break from your Boston city break with this scenic private tour. There's lots of ocean views, rocky coastline, a bit of shopping and even some witch history. We keep this full day itinerary flexible to let you customize the tour but here's a feel for what we'll see. Pick up in Downtown Boston, taking the 60 minute highway drive to Manchester-by-the-Sea, where we pick up the scenic back roads. We'll take a picturesque country road to Gloucester, where we stop to walk along the waters edge to the Fisherman's memorial statue. We'll continue the scenic drive to Rockport, where there's a great collection of cute stores to browse and views to admire. Then drive to Salem, where we have time for a short walking tour around the main sites and historic spots. To finish out the day we'll squeeze in a few more ocean views on our drive back to Boston. We'll stop along the way for lunch (not included in price of tour). Please message for pricing if your group is +4.

Q: Are there any age restrictions for this tour? Can kids join?

A: There aren't strict age limits for the tour! Kids are totally welcome, and it can be a fun family outing. Just make sure they’re able to walk a bit in Salem, since there’s some light walking involved during the historic tour. Bring snacks for the ride, too, since lunch isn’t included!

Q: What should we wear for this tour? Is it mostly outdoor walking?

A: Definitely dress comfortably! You’ll want good walking shoes since there are some picturesque spots to explore on foot, especially in Salem and Rockport. Layers are a good idea too, since it can get windy along the coast. Don’t forget a jacket if you go in the fall; it can be chilly by the ocean!

Thinking about the Salem and North Shore Tour for my parents' anniversary!

I really want to surprise my parents with something special for their anniversary and this private tour seems perfect! They love the ocean and historical sites. Wow, what an amazing day! We started off with a beautiful drive out of Boston and the guide was super friendly. Gloucester was stunning and Rockport’s shops were a perfect pit stop. The walking tour in Salem was interesting but not too much walking. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun day trip. Definitely bring a camera!
