Meets at 18 Broad St. Salem. All of our guides are certified teachers who hold Master's degrees in education. This all-outdoor tour combines true tales from Salem’s past with some mild spooky stories just for kids age 6+. Our aim is not to scare the heck out of your kids, but to provide a little shiver and bit of mystery. This tour follows a route that is near the downtown, but it’s a little off the beaten path, very picturesque, and you’ll feel as if you stepped back in time. The tour ends at the Witch House. For over twelve years, parents traveling with kids have chosen Salem Kids Tours for a fun, well-researched and fascinating trip through time. Many times we have heard from kids, “I didn’t want the tour to end.” Parents have described our tours as the highlight of their trip to Salem. We are happy to show you around. We love kids, we understand their unique needs, and we look forward to meeting you on one of our tours.

Q&A

Q: Is there a minimum age for kids to join the tour?

A: The tour is designed for kids aged 6 and up. It's perfect for that age range since the stories are mild and meant to be more fun than scary! If you have younger kids, they might not enjoy the tour as much, but sometimes, families have brought them along if they can handle a little bit of spookiness.

Q: What should we wear for the tour? Is it mostly walkable?

A: Great question! Since it's an outdoor tour, I'd recommend comfortable shoes for walking. The path is mostly flat and pretty easy to navigate, but definitely check the weather beforehand! Dress in layers because it can get chilly in Salem, especially in the fall.

Q: Can we reschedule if something comes up?

A: Yes, you can definitely reschedule! Just give them a call or email ahead of time if you need to change your date. They’re usually pretty flexible, especially since they want to make sure your kids have a great time.

Just did the Slightly Spooky Tour and it was awesome!

We went on the Salem Kids Slightly Spooky Tour last weekend and my kids absolutely loved it! They’re 7 and 9, and the stories were just the right amount of spooky without being too much. Our guide was super friendly and really engaging. We even got to see the Witch House at the end, which was such a cool way to wrap things up. Highly recommend for anyone with kids!

Thinking of gifting this tour to my niece!

I’m considering getting the Salem Kids Slightly Spooky Tour for my niece's birthday. She loves ghost stories and is turning 8. Has anyone done this? Is it really as fun as it sounds? What’s the group size like?
