Q&A

Q: Is this tour appropriate for someone under 13? I was thinking of gifting it to my teen nephew.

A: The tour does include graphic details about true crime cases, including assault and murder, which can be quite intense. It's recommended for ages 13 and up, so I’d suggest maybe looking for something else if your nephew is younger. If he’s mature and understands the content, he might still enjoy it, but definitely check in with his parents first!

Q: Is there a lot of walking involved? My friend has trouble with mobility.

A: The Gaslamp Quarter is quite walkable, but this tour does require a fair amount of walking, sometimes on uneven surfaces. If your friend uses a mobility aid, it may be challenging. I'd recommend contacting the tour provider to see if there are any accommodations they can offer.

Q: What happens if it rains? Do they cancel or reschedule the tour?

A: Good question! Generally, the tour runs rain or shine unless the weather is severe. If it's just a light rain, they usually go ahead with it, so I’d suggest dressing appropriately. But they will notify you if there’s a cancellation due to extreme weather.

Just went on the Gaslamp Quarter True Crime Tour and wow!

I recently did the San Diego True Crime Tour and it was super interesting! The stories are dark, but they really bring the history of Gaslamp Quarter to life. We visited this old hotel where they say a ghost still lingers, and hearing about the 1920s crime scene was chilling! If you’re into true crime, this is a must. Just a heads up: some of the details are pretty graphic, so keep that in mind if you’re gifting it.

Thinking about gifting the True Crime Tour!

I want to surprise my sister with the Gaslamp Quarter historic true crime tour for her birthday. She loves true crime podcasts and books, so I think she’ll love this! Anyone know if it’s easy to book, or do they fill up quickly? And what’s the best way to get there? I’m not super familiar with downtown San Diego.
