Q&A
A: I’d recommend dressing in layers! It can get a bit chilly once the sun goes down, especially on the water. A light jacket or hoodie is a good idea. And definitely wear some comfy shoes since you’ll be moving around the boat. Oh, and don’t forget your sunglasses and sunscreen during the day!
A: Kids are welcome! There’s no strict age limit, but I’d say it’s best for kids who are at least 8 years old since they can enjoy the experience and follow safety rules. Just keep in mind that it's a small boat, so you’ll need to keep an eye on them. Captain Phil is really great with kids though!
A: Yes, if the weather looks bad, Captain Phil is very understanding about rescheduling. He’ll usually reach out to you the day before to confirm conditions and will help you find another date. Just make sure to keep an eye on the forecast as your date approaches!

Just booked the San Diego sunset sail for my anniversary! Any advice?
Hey everyone! I just snagged tickets for the sunset sail with Captain Phil for my anniversary next month. I’m super excited but a bit nervous about what to expect. I know they provide drinks and snacks, but are there any hidden gems or tips I should know about? Also, how early should we arrive? Thanks!
Did the afternoon sail, and it was incredible!
Just got back from the afternoon sail with Captain Phil on the Liberty, and wow, what a stunning experience. The woodwork on the boat is beautiful, and the views of San Diego Bay are just breathtaking. The snacks and drinks were perfect for the ride! If you're considering this, do it! It’s such a unique way to see the city.
