Q&A
A: The best times are summer for blue whales and winter for gray whales. I went in February and saw tons of gray whales! Just make sure to book early since those months can get busy. Also, don’t forget your camera for those dolphins – they’re always so playful!
A: There’s no specific age limit, but kids really need to be able to sit still for a few hours. It’s a great experience for all ages! Just keep in mind that younger kids might get a bit restless, so I’d suggest bringing some snacks and maybe a coloring book.
A: Definitely dress in layers! It can get chilly on the water, especially in the morning. I wore a hoodie and was still a bit cold when we started. Bring sunglasses and sunscreen too – you’ll be out in the sun for a while.

Just booked the whale watching cruise! Any tips?
So, I just booked the San Diego Whale Watching Cruise aboard the Peregrine for next month! I’m super excited but a bit nervous about sea sickness and what to expect. Any tips on what to bring or wear? Also, how's the parking around the marina?
Had the BEST time on the whale watching cruise!
I went on the San Diego Whale Watching Cruise last weekend and it was simply amazing! We saw multiple dolphins and even spotted a blue whale. The crew was super knowledgeable and friendly. Just a tip: if you get cold easily, take a jacket! Can't wait to go back!
