Q&A

Q: Is there an age limit for kids on the whale watching cruise?

A: No age limit! I've taken my kids ages 6 and 9 on this cruise, and they loved it. Just a heads up though, if they get seasick easily, you might want to prepare with some Dramamine. The guides are super friendly and accommodating for families.

Q: How often do you actually see whales on the cruise?

A: It really depends on the season, but we've gone in late winter and saw multiple gray whales! The guides are super knowledgeable and will adjust the route based on sightings. It’s not guaranteed every time, but there's a good chance you’ll see something amazing!

Q: What should I wear on the whale watching cruise?

A: Dress in layers! It can get chilly on the water, especially if you're out for a while. I recommend bringing a light jacket and wearing closed-toe shoes. Also, don’t forget sunscreen and sunglasses—sunshine can be super strong out there.

Thinking about gifting the whale watching experience!

Hey everyone, I'm considering getting the San Diego Whale Watching & Dolphin Cruise for my sister’s birthday next month. She loves marine life! I’m just curious if any of you have done it and what your thoughts were? I heard it’s about 2-3 hours which sounds great, but how's the parking situation over there at Mission Bay?

Can anyone share their dolphin sighting stories?

I’m planning to take my family on the San Diego Whale Watching & Dolphin Cruise next weekend, and I’m really hoping we get to see some dolphins! Anyone have any cool stories or tips? I’ve heard the guides are awesome!
