Q&A
A: There are no age limits for the zoo tickets! Toddlers are definitely welcome. In fact, they often love the animals and the Wildlife Explorers Basecamp is perfect for young kids. Just keep in mind to bring a stroller if they get tired, as the park is quite big!
A: Definitely wear comfortable clothing and shoes! The zoo is spread out over 100 acres, so you'll be doing a lot of walking. A hat and sunscreen are also great ideas, especially if you're going on a sunny day. Layering is smart, too, since it can get cooler in the evening.
A: Yes! As long as you purchased the tickets at least one day prior, they’re good for one year from the original date. Just make sure to keep your confirmation email, and you can choose a new date that works for you later.

Excited for my first trip to the San Diego Zoo! Any tips?
I'm planning to take my niece to the San Diego Zoo next month for her birthday! I've heard so much about the new Wildlife Explorers Basecamp and all the animals we can see. I’m just curious about the best route to take to cover more ground. What should we not miss? Also, how’s parking around there?
Just got back from the San Diego Zoo! Here’s my experience.
I visited the San Diego Zoo last week, and wow, what a day! The Skyfari Aerial Tram was awesome for seeing the park from above. We loved the new habitats in the Wildlife Explorers Basecamp. Make sure to grab a map when you enter; it really helps. I didn't expect to enjoy the guided bus tour as much as I did! Highly recommend it to anyone thinking about going!
