Enjoy the serene San Francisco Bay at sunset on this evening with the Sunset Cruise aboard a luxurious catamaran. Sail by Alcatraz Island, under the Golden Gate Bridge and look for sea lions, then cruise down the city skyline. Both the Adventure Cat 55' or 65' catamaran are complete with a 360-degree, protected viewing area for those who don't like the wind in their faces as well as canvas trampoline nets where you can experience the ocean and sights in the open sea air. Just a note on capacity, we are considered an outdoor business by category, so we are not officially restricted currently, but we do self-limit to have enough room for all to feel safe. Our 47-passenger vessel is limited to about 40 per trip, and the 90-passenger is limited to 76 for comfort of all.

Q: What's the best time of year to go on the sunset cruise?

A: The sunset cruise is great year-round, but I’d say late spring to early fall is ideal for warmer weather and clearer skies. Summer months tend to have the best weather, but they can also be a bit crowded. I went in August and it was stunning! Just check the forecast a few days before to pick the best night.

Q: Is there any age limit for this cruise? Can kids come?

A: Kids are totally welcome on the cruise! It’s a fun family outing. Just keep in mind, the cruise can be a bit rocky depending on the weather, so it might not be great for very young kids if they're prone to seasickness. My 8-year-old loved it—just make sure to keep an eye on them near the edges.

Q: What should I wear for the sunset cruise?

A: Definitely dress in layers! It starts off warm but gets chilly once the sun goes down. I wore a light sweater over a t-shirt and was comfortable. Also, don't forget comfy shoes—you’ll be on your feet a bit and some areas may be slippery.

Just got back from the San Francisco Bay Sunset Cruise!

I took the sunset cruise last weekend and it was incredible! We sailed right by Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge, and the views were just stunning. They give you a complimentary drink, and I got a glass of wine that paired perfectly with the sunset. The catamaran was super comfortable, too. I’m thinking of getting this as a gift for my parents next!
