Turn San Francisco into a giant game board with this fun scavenger hunt adventure! This challenge combines the excitement of the Amazing Race with a 2-hour city walking tour. Guided from any smart phone, teams make their way among well known and overlooked gems of the city, solving clues and completing challenges while learning local history. Your Adventure will begin at the Maritime Museum and take you to the bay's edge with views of a historic prison, fanciful art, and tasty treats from chocolate to sourdough bread. Your scavenger hunt route will explore the splendor of Fisherman's Wharf as well as many traditional favorites. The tour requires approximately 1 mile of walking. Using a smartphone as “the guide” allows participants to start when they want and determine their own pace of play. Stop for a bite to eat or take in the view… why not, it’s your schedule? Note: Pricing is per individual, but teams must book together in order to be included in the same adventure.

Q: Is there an age limit for the scavenger hunt? Can kids participate?

A: There's no strict age limit! Kids are totally welcome to join the scavenger hunt, and it's a fun way for families to explore the Wharf together. Just keep in mind that they might need a little help with some of the clues, but it’s designed to be family-friendly. I'd recommend maybe having an adult team member with them to help out if needed.

Q: What's the best time of year to do this scavenger hunt?

A: I’d say late spring to early fall is the best! The weather is usually pretty mild in SF, so you won’t be freezing while walking around. Avoid winter if you can, since it can get really foggy and cold. Also, weekdays tend to be less crowded, which is nice for exploring.

Q: Is there a way to reschedule if something comes up?

A: Yes! You can reschedule, but make sure to check Urban Adventure Quest's policy on their website. They’re usually pretty accommodating as long as you give them some notice. Just keep your team’s schedule in mind, as you’ll want everyone to be able to make it.

I’m considering this scavenger hunt for my sister's birthday. She loves exploring new places, and I think this would be a fun way to do it! I saw that it starts at the Maritime Museum, which is cool 'cause it’s close to the bay. Does anyone know if it’s easy to find parking around there? Also, how long does it typically take to finish?

Just finished the scavenger hunt, and it was amazing!

We did the Fisherman's Wharf scavenger hunt last weekend, and it was such a blast! The clues were fun, and we got to see places we’d never noticed before. The chocolate shops along the route were a great pit stop, haha. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a fun group activity!
